World Environment Day 2022 will be celebrated on Sunday, June 5. This year, Sweden is hosting the World Environment Day 2022.  “Only One Earth" is the theme for celebrating World Environment Day 2022 declared by UN programme and this campaign slogan, with the focus on “Living Sustainably in Harmony with Nature”.

World Environment Day 2022: World Environment Day is celebrated in more than 150 countries by millions of people around the world each year on June 5 to encourage awareness for the preservation and protection of the environment. It is the largest international day for the environment organized by the United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP) and organized every year since 1974.

Sweden is the host country for the 2022 World Environment Day celebration. Every year World Environment Day is hosted by a different country where the official celebrations take place. UNEP will work with Sweden to promote and showcase innovations in environmental prevention and protection through a series of written stories and short videos that will be shared online.
